So here’s some news about HBO getting crazy with the digital, and I ask my friend who now works for HBO and he says he’s definitely not working on it, meaning he is (HE FIBBED). HBO has enough mojo to cut exclusive deals with mobile providers and enough capital to provide each of them with custom solutions (Java?) for delivering content straight to the devices, and of course the kids will eat it up, as they say. There’s no doubt in my mind that HBO and Podcast.com should be in bed together — yes, to GO ALL THE WAY. HBO does podcasts, and with variety and some thoughtfulness, so lets set up that channel and wail away.
