Here’s a spunky article about the building I work in (more accurately, an article about the company that provides space for our startup, among many others). Lots of startups, lots of energy, free coffee and potato chips, yeah, a fun place. But it aggravates me that companies with annoyingly vocal video-game-lovin’ cyberpunk/hippies are representative of the startup economy. There are many great companies within this space doing great and interesting things. Playing video games and social networking are not two of those things (yeah, our company has some social leanings … but we’re more entrenched in the media world). Whatever, people like that crap.
